Hollingsworth Logistics North America (HLNA) has emerged from two independent businesses; E. L. Hollingsworthone of the first expeditors of automotive partsfounded in Flint, Michigan in 1925; and Butcher Engineering Enterprises Limited, founded in 1941 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada who in 1945 began to package parts for the Ford Motor Company.
The history of the emergence of HLNA is as follows:
1987 E. L. Hollingsworth Corporation is purchased by the Barr family.
1988 E. L. Hollingsworth Corporation is certified by the Michigan Minority Business Development Council (MMBDC) as a Native American minority business.
1991 Hollingsworth Logistics Management, Incorporated is formed.
1991 Hollingsworth Logistics Management, Inc. is certified by the MMBDC as a Native American minority business enterprise.
1993 Butcher Engineering Enterprises Ltd. merges its U.S. operations into a new joint venture with Hollingsworth Logistics Management, LLC.
1993 Hollingsworth Logistics Management LLC is certified by the MMBDC as a Native American minority business enterprise.
2003 Hollingsworth Logistics North America is formed.
Today, HLNA encompasses a group of individual companies who provide all the services and products necessary for complete supply chain management. From transportation to the supply of engineered components, HLNA can facilitate the fulfillment of OEM and Tier One or Tier Two supplier needs through any or all of the following HLNA companies:
